ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK – Borough of Monmouth Beach

Borough of Monmouth Beach seeks F/T Accounts Payable Clerk to handle all matters relating to accounts payable. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, accounts payable processing, processing bi-weekly payroll, pension reporting, maintain developer escrow accounts, process deposits, processing purchase orders from inception thru payment; troubleshooting issues that arise with vendors; maintaining payment history records for all contracts; tracking fixed asset spending; preparing monthly Bills & Claims Listing; and serving as backup payroll preparer.  Must be able to process all revenue checks inclusive of tax payments into the Edmunds Accounting program.  Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and Edmunds Accounting Program and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Action Data System Payroll a plus. TAX CLERK/FINANCE ASSISTANT – Borough of Monmouth Beach

Reports to the Chief Finance Officer/ Tax Collector in every aspect except statutory and final decisions regarding Tax and Finance Departments.  Position requires knowledge of New Jersey Tax Collection laws and familiarization with accounting procedures to comply with these laws. Report trouble to Tax Collector, such as tax deficiencies or errors that are not correct. Must have experience working in a Tax office; some coursework for tax collection would be a plus. Knowledge of Tax Laws and experience with Micro Systems preferable.  Process of payments, in person or by mail, by receiving, recording, and depositing of receipts according to prescribed methods. Process online payments, adjust if needed. Research overpayments/duplicate payments and start process of refunds. Communicate effectively with residents via telephone, email, fax and in person. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT TO THE
CONSTRUCTION OFFICIAL (FULL TIME) –

Borough of Monmouth Beach, Monmouth County is seeking a full-time NJ DCA Certified Technical Assistant, with at least three to five years’ experience, to process construction permits to ensure compliance with NJ Uniform Construction Code, handle department OPRA requests, schedule inspections, collect permit fees, data entry and records maintenance, and coordinate with municipal, county and state offices. Knowledge of pertinent NJ UCC provisions. Strong computer skills and experience with SDL software, MS Word and Excel. Frequent public interaction. Requires excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Salary is based on experience, full benefit package. The position is available immediately.
